top hair tips for busy gals {part 2}

As promised, here is Part 2 of the Best Hair Tips for busy gals.

I really hope that Shaughn’s tips were helpful last week! (They reminded me again not to be naughty & skimp on heat protector & not to wash my hair too often.)

Here are three more very helpful tips for fantastic hair in no time. This time they are from…

David Gillson (1)

  1. Get a great hair cut that suits the texture of your hair & your lifestyle. David stresses the importance of explaining your (busy) lifestyle to your hair stylist, so that you can find a style that works for your life.
  2. “Choose a colour that is close to (within a tonal range) of your natural hair colour, so that you have less maintenance. A technique like Flamboyage (offered at all Davines salons, like Carlton) is perfect for this.”
  3. Invest in the right equipment. He strongly recommends a salon strength hair dryer. “It will shorten your blow dry time by a third,” says David. “The Carioliss hair dryer (available at Carlton salons at +/- R1000) comes highly recommended.” Just make sure that you know how to use this baby, so you don’t damage your lovely locks.

David is hairstylist of Jen Su, Tamara Dey & Lee-Ann Liebenberg – to name but a few! Contact Carlton Hair in Hyde Park Corner on (011) 325 4995.

Have yourself some fab hair this week!

Yolandi ♥
