I have such a crush on Stellenbosch-based Mia Mélange. Their baskets are made from 100% cotton rope & sewn together in a coiling technique. It’s hard to choose one product only, so after much thought I settled on the large Floor Basket. R1450, 40cm (D) x 45cm (H).

Weylandts Patterned Wire Basket
Now this is the kind of basket I want next to the fireplace. Filled with logs. Or by the pool for towels. This gorgeous wire basket costs R695 that was handcrafted in India.
