I’ve been collecting egg boxes for a while now, with the intention of making paper mache piggy banks for our nieces. I never got that far, but luckily I had the boxes all piled up & ready to make something for Easter.
Here’s an easy project using egg boxes & white chocolate eggs.
Half-A-Dozen Easter Egg Gift Boxes
WHAT YOU NEED
Optional: pens, ribbons & flowers. Not included on the picture: ear buds. You’ll need these if you’re using normal food colouring & not the food colouring pens.
WHAT TO DO
Remove stickers or labels from the boxes. Paint the empty egg boxes with a colour of your choice. I used white.
Now give the white chocolate easter eggs a bit of personality with the food colouring. It’s a good idea to wear plastic gloves when handling the eggs.
Once the boxes are dry, place some raffia in each egg hole to make the eggs fit more snuggly & pop the chocolate eggs in each box. Personalise with a message if you like.
Add your wrapper of choice & decorate with ribbon, flowers, washi tape or a card.
There you have it: a lovely little gesture to drop off for a neighbour, family or friend this weekend.
May you & your loved ones have a wonderfully blessed Easter!
