I’ve rounded up some of my latest favourite products – all dressed in pretty pink. With this list you will look fab & be summer ready in no time.
The individually wrapped Tanning Wipes from Caribbean Tan (R59.95, online, Clicks & Dis-Chem) are perfect to travel with. These wipes are also for gradual tanning meaning it will take a while to see the actual tan. Best is to apply at night if you want to look tanned in the morning.
Now you can easily remove those unwanted hairs on your lip, chin, cheeks & neck, with the Smooth Finish Facial Hair Remover by Tweezerman (R369, Dis-Chem). Such a necessary little gadget that removes facial fluff from the root. Do not use it for your brows though & remember to clean & disinfect between uses.
Your glowy summer skin is only a good body scrub away. The Milk Solutions Soya Milk & Quince Scrub (R227 for 320g, order online) does not only smell delicious enough to eat, but also leaves your skin feeling really silky. Love.
AVON Soft Musk EDT (R200, 50ml) has a blend of rose, jasmine & ylang-ylang which makes it ideal for summer.
No matter what the conditions – yup, even during this draught, when camping, glamping, hiking or travelling – you can still have a shower fresh feel & smell. Enter the product that we’ve been waiting for for so long: PUMP IT UP Dry Shower Body Wash (R40, 50ml; R48, 150ml at Dis-Chem). Think of it as a dry shampoo for your body. It kills the bacteria that causes body odour, contains no parabens or alcohol & is available in three male & three female fragrance options.
As far as Dry Shampoo goes, Batiste is still my go-to brand. They have so many options & different sizes. Plus it is affordable. The R200ml’s will only cost R59.95 until 21 Nov at selected Clicks stores. Or you’ll pay R42.95 for the smaller 50ml version.
Mavala’s First Class Collection was inspired by travel & launched just in time for Spring 2016. This lovely collection features six shades – each inspired by a world city / town (our own Cape Town even made the cut). I love the little ballet pink called FIJI (R65 for 5ml at Dis-Chem).
OLGANI Clove & Xylitol Mouth Wash (R48.95, 100g, faithful-to-nature.co.za) is an all natural refreshing mouth wash that contains zero glycerine, sweetners, preservatives & colourants. This powder-form blend of sea salt with organic herbal extracts, organic essential oils & xylitol is said to help fight inflammation of gum tissue, fungal infections of the mouth & bad breath. Don’t expect a similar taste to other mouth washes. This one is not sweetened – quite the opposite. It is really super salty. It can be used as a mouth wash or a brushing salt (applied directly to your toothbrush). Go to olgani.co.za for more.
For lips, I love: (1) Chanel Romy (462) Rouge Coco Lipstick (R610) – a medium-dark fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones & a light glossy finish. [Good to know is that the Rouge Coco range is a hydrating cream lipstick. It’s easy to wear & has a creamy texture.]
(2) AVON ColorTrend Neon Lipstick in Sun Bleached Pink (R59.90). An everyday lipcolour to have in your bag. Matt lip colours are not only on trend, but won’t dry your lips out.
(3) I love a lip stain – especially the Revlon ULTRA HD Matte Lipcolor in Addiction (R165, at most retailers & departmental stores). It is a bold but lightweight colour. It feels velvety & really lasts. This wax-free gel formula is available in 16 shades.
How lovely are these pretty pinkies? Hope you liked them.
