Christmas is big around here. Rephrase. Christmas is big around me! So if you happen to be one of my friends or family members, you will get quite a bit of the Christmas spirit just by hanging out with me.
And in less than 50 days Christmas will be here, so I reckon now is a great time to get yourself organised with food, decor & gift ideas so that you can jingle & disco stress-free all the way to XMas!
That is why I am over the moon to share this epic Disco & Jingle XMas inspiration with you today!
My friend Karen from Lovilee & I teamed up for this colourful Christmas decor shoot. We had such fun setting it all up, Check out her take on a colourful Christmas here.
The best part is that you can use many of the elements of this theme for your New Year’s party too! Double the fun & festiveness, right?
To create this look, start with a white canvas (ie a white Christmas tree & a white table cloth).
I used green, purple, pink & blue baubles for colour. Then add as many disco balls as you like for the bling factor! I also used colourful glasses & stoneware from LeCreuset which finished off the table nicely.
For name tags, simply use a label maker & stick the names of your guests on a bauble. The tiny LeCreuset mugs are perfect to hold your baubles & can be used for soup starters or coffee after your Christmas meal.
I added a letterbox (this one is from Typo) on the drinks trolley for more bling & fun.
A quick DIY project that you can do is to make your very own disco drinks stirrers! Take a kebab stick & stick it into tiny disco balls (find ones with polystyrene inside from your local craft or Asian store).
When planning your menu, I suggest keeping your dishes seasonal, easy & sort-of in the same colour scheme as your table, like an easy bread wreath for a starter & Rose & Strawberry Ice-Cream for dessert.
You can even ask your guests to dress in white, silver or one of your colours. Be sure to capture it all on camera!
And that, my friends, is how you Disco & Jingle at Christmas!
I’d love to hear what you think of this theme? Do you love it? Or do you prefer the monochrome Christmas theme from last year?
Yolandi ♥
