To keep your beauty routine really hygienic, you need to be organised. Make-up brushes tossed in a drawer together with loads of other cosmetics just won’t do it… The solution? The right storage units. In my view, you need at least three. The minimum criteria: practical, pretty (fun, or funky) & easy to clean! Take your pick from the following:
Start with one for home storage like the 27pinkx’s ‘mini’ perspex organiser (R1200). It’s not so mini (21cm high, 30cm wide & 30cm breadth) though & has enough space to store ALL your make-up. Or use it for cosmetics, jewelry or accessories. I love the fact that it’s see-through – a great incentive to keep things organised.
Now it is time to get a travel vanity bag. Two favourites are the Lou Harvey Arabella Damask vanity bag (R300) & the CaraMia Chelsea Toiletry Bag (R438.90). Both are girly, yet classy. The Lou Harvey vanity bag is 30cm wide x 11cm deep x 19,5cm tall. The perfect size for longer trips.
Love the little built-in hanger on the CaraMia bag, as it helps to keep things hygienic. No more cosmetics on gross surfaces. All CaraMia products are available online or at their new flagship store in the Bryanston Shopping Centre (opening 1 August).
Finally, you need a few small bags to stash tiny beauty essentials in. I found really fun ones at Sorbet & my favourite stationery shop – yup, I’m talking about TYPO!
You’ll have a chuckle every time you take out this pink number from TYPO (R179 for the set of three cute little bags).
I also discovered this little bag for your “Bits & Bobs” on a recent visit to Sorbet. At only R45, it’s a steal! Whoohoo, no more digging in that big ol’ handbag.
Yolandi ♥
