For a while now, I’ve been thinking of MINI TREATS FOR MINI PEEPS, so this was the first experiment! Technically this cannot be classified as a recipe. Maybe I should call it a ‘throw-together’. Nevertheless, it is a fun, yummy little treat for tiny (or big) tummies!
Note: The end result wasn’t photographed as well as it could have been, because I had many (big) vultures around who could literally not wait to dig in!
Mini S’Mores, serve as many as you like
2x packets of Mini Maries (or other tiny round biscuits)
A packet of mini marshmallows
Milk chocolate
Optional: colourful little sweeties like Smarties or speckled eggs
Start off by packing your biscuits onto a plate. Not too close together though as you don’t want the marshmallows to stick together. Now place a mini marshmallow on top of each biscuit & top with another biscuit. Pop into your microwave oven for literally 10-30 seconds. Watch your little babies carefully, as each microwave oven differs.
Take them out & gently press each top biscuit down. You might notice at this point that not all of the marshies are equally soft, so pop the tough ones back in for a few seconds. Repeat the process until you have enough biscuits.
How many is enough you may ask? Well, probably at least three per adult, but the true answer is that you can never have too many mini s’mores!
Now, break your milk chocolate into squares & pop it into the microwave oven to melt; checking & stirring the chocolate often to make sure that it does not burn & melts thoroughly.
Line a baking tray with wax paper, take every biscuit stack & dip about a third of it into the chocolate. Once you have done them all, pop the tray in the fridge until the chocolate sets!
Place onto a platter, sprinkle colourful sweeties in between & serve! Yum!
