All three of my latest skin care finds & buys deserve a spot in your skin care routine. Here’s why…

The original PreCleanse product by Dermalogica (in liquid form) was a massive hit, so these guys decided to launch a pre-packed format namely Dermalogica PreCleanse wipes (R250, available at Dermalogica skincare outlets). Genius, hey!? This is exactly the item to have in your bag when travelling, but remember this is not just any old wipe. It is based on the “double cleanse” concept on which every Dermalogica regimen is founded. The idea is to dissolve all the impurities (make-up, oil, SPF) with the wipe before you use your cleanser. It really feels fantastic on the skin – so much so that I used the whole pack in record time! But remember that it’s not for those who are a bit too lazy to follow-up with the cleansing step.

PreCleanse Wipes

The Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference range is not brand new anymore, but it’s still worth raving about! It’s really worth investing in a quality skin care range – especially during winter. So, if you’re looking for a new skin care regime, this is your answer. The range offers full-on skin care regimens for dry, normal to combination & oily skins, so take your pick. You should see results in 2 – 4 weeks. I did.

One of my favourite products from the range is the Visible Difference Good Morning Retexturizing Primer (R285 & suitable for all skin types). It gives your skin radiance & also ensures a silky smooth texture when applied before your make-up.

*** Elizabeth Arden will donate R4 to their Community Heroes’ causes for every full-size Visible Difference product purchased at a participating retailer until 30 June 2014.

The last product on my list is the Sorbet Firming Face Mask (Anti-Ageing & Hydrating, only R34 each). I recently grabbed this one my way out of Sorbet as a bit of an after thought…. and, boy, was I pleasantly surprised!

Sorbet mask

With winter on our door step, my skin was desperate for some hydration & I can honestly say: wow, wow, wow! I didn’t expect much, but I’m super impressed. It’s easy to apply: simply take the entire paper mask with product on out & press it onto your face. Just be warned: this is not a mask you wear to get into a romantic mood. When my dear husband saw me in this number, he just said: “This is the stuff that nightmares are made of.”

Sorbet mask - scary face

Scary much? Eek! (Sorry – hope you can sleep tonight!)

Anyway, apart from looking scary, this range of masks is great for home pampering (on a budget), girls nights ‘in’ & for your travel bag! (Keep them in mind for stocking fillers come Xmas!) So, pop over to a Sorbet salon & get yourself at whole range – there are options for hands, feet, various skin concerns & even dark under eye circles.

    • Hi there Venila

Great choice. The Sorbet wipes are fantastic. Personally, I like to use face wipes as a pre-cleanse item if I am wearing lots of make-up & then follow with my normal cleanser. But on lazy days you can use your wipes as your only cleanser. All three of the Sorbet wipe options (Hydro Skin, Salon Skin & Age Skin) will remove make-up & cleanse too.

      Hope this helps.
