When we did the photo shoot for Ursula & Chris Malevris’ home, my idea was to feature baby Leah’s nursery as part of their home tour. But the pictures (& the room) are just so gorgeous that I decided that it needed a post on its own. Have a look – I’m sure you will agree:
Leah’s mommy, Ursula, said that the inspiration for the room came from walking around in a Plascon showroom & fabric store. “I love rabbits & I hope Leah will too!” says Ursula, who tastefully combined the rabbit & flower theme – perfect for their little girl.
“What I like about the room is that it doesn’t look too ‘baby’ like.” She sourced or carefully made all the items in the nursery – from the Etsy rabbit prints in Mr Price frames to the gorgeous linen.
Ursula also crafted the unique round framed quote for Leah. “I love this quote. I believe if everyone is kind & has grace, the world will be a much better place.”
The changing station, display boxes & baby gym were all handmade by Leah’s oupa Nick for his darling granddaughter.
The black & white baby gym figures are from Bub Hub in Broadacres. The cot was a pre-loved local find.
