Ageing is such a tricky thing -, especially amongst women. We will all inevitably age, yet some are trying everything, not to (look like they) age. At varsity, my friend Lize & I used to joke that we don’t want to look like tannies meaning that we don’t want to dress & act old before our time. We subsequently started calling each other tannie.

But ageing can be amazing & inspiring – think of your grandparents, Madiba, our wonderful Hugh Masekela & Dame Judi Dench. Luckily ageing gracefully is possible & has also become fashionable like Iris Apfel (96), Helen Mirren (72), Betty White (96) & Meryl Streep (68).

So I, for one, plan on having fun in my old age with red fingernails, purple hair & bold lips for as long as I possibly can.

I’ve also been lining up these great articles, tips & treats from around the web that I would love to share with you. Some are simply feel good. Others offer some advice for those of us that are not yet nearing our 70’s & other bits will hopefully change your view about ageing. Enjoy!
