What makes it so fabulous? It’s a spa where body, mind & soul can come to rest – really unusual in our rushed city. The interior is homey, yet classy and minimalist. The blue & white theme reminds me of a cottage by the sea somewhere…
On offer are all your regular salon treatments like facials (using RégimA or Comfort Zone products), waxes, mani’s, pedi’s….
The idea of the LééfSPA memberships is very unique. Simply choose from a “Basically Beautiful” or a “Luxurious” membership & pay a monthly fee which includes your basic monthly treatments & a discounted Lééf magazine subscription. Stunning gift idea, right? I suspect that, unlike a gym memberships, LééfSPA members will actually be back regularly.
In a city & time where real peace & quiet is a true luxury, the serene (prayer) and steam rooms are heaven! Full marks for the concept, Lééf.
What to expect… The spa is a brand extension of the Afrikaans ladies glossy Christian title Lééf, so if you love the magazine you’ll certainly enjoy the experience here. The concept of the spa is based on the premise that the inherent beauty in every women should be celebrated, so the focus is on a inner & outer rejuvenation & pampering. You can expect a genuine, spiritual ambience.
This salon is for you, if you… Need some time out for your mind, body & soul.
What I didn’t enjoy… There really isn’t much not to like about this spa. Unless you prefer a very glamorous or OTT spa experience, then this might not be for you.
The final verdict: LééfSPA is worth a visit for everyone in need of pampering & recharging.

Fit for a queen
Aah Beloved…there’s something really beautiful about that word. It speaks to me about a romantic, almost old fashioned way of cherishing someone..where care, kindness, thoughtfulness and love are bestowed on a very special person.
Being spoilt in any small way by my daughters makes me feel beloved.
Beloved to me, tells me that I was loved when I was still a sinner, imperfect, in my brokeness, in my mess. It also makes me think of the woman at the well who had so many husbands and yet Jesus had so much compassion on her. Makes me think how I should be treating and the eyes I should be looking through when looking at God’s beloved under construction. Emotional word for beloved would be to be served by a servant to have your feet washed, your body washed and massaged with oil and feel renewed afterwards just as you would after you realise the vastness of Gods Grace for you.

My better half getting out of the freezing cold bed in these winter mornings to make sure I have hot fresh coffee ready for me when I get out of the bath.
What makes me feel beloved is waking up to a cup of tea made by my mom every morning. A packed lunch and a warm meal every night… its the small things that count and what most of us take for granted. Family is beloved.
