When I think of orange, turquoise & blues, all things summer pop into my mind. Fresh juicesblue skies, long icy cocktails, crisp pools, the ocean, fun nail colors & the smell of sunscreen!

So today I’m here to share some of my favourite blue-ish & orange beauty buys & finds – all of which will give your summer look a boost & some extra vibrancy:

You simply cannot go through summer without a quality lip balm on hand. I’m loving the Blistex Ultra-Rich Hydration Dual-Layer Balm (R84, Clicks) as it is really hydrating & also protects with an SPF 15 – essential as the days get hotter & hotter now.

Next up is the BioNike Triderm Len’Oil Itch Reliever (R135, 100ml, Dis-Chem) – a great product to keep on hand for those dry & itchy patched on your body. It is specifically formulated for sensitive or intolerant skin.

The Heliocare Gel SPF50 (R339) is my hero facial sun product of the season. To say that my skin has not been very happy lately is an understatement, so I love that it is oil-free & lightweight. It is also slightly tinted.

I am besotted with the cute nail polishes with duck & panda figurine heads from The Crazy Store. The truth is that I’ve never tried them on my nails, but aren’t they just too cute for little gifts. They’re only R11 each from the Crazy Store so they make great stocking or Christmas Cracker fillers.

This tiny pocket of tissues (R6, Mr Price) doesn’t only have pretty packaging, but it also fits in everywhere. Too cute, right?

This time of the year things get really so busy that even our hair gets stressed & dull. Fear not because Davines’ The Wake Up Circle Hair Mask (R135, 50ml, from Carlton Hair Salons countrywide) is here to destress your hair! Simply leave it in for 10 minutes after shampooing & your lifeless hair will have new energy, volume & hydration.

From dull hair to tired eyes. At R140 (for 15ml) Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Eyes Gel Cream is a real winner for eyes that need a pick-me-up. It contains hyaluronic acid & is sure to pep up your eyes in an instant.

One of my best discoveries of late is the Payot Brume Eclat Anti-Pollution Revivifying Mist (R250 for 125ml Aerosol). If you look in the mirror & all you see is a dehydrated skin that lacks radiance, then this little miracle mist is the way to go. It contains no alcohol & will protect your skin from pollution. I use it to set my makeup, during the day to refresh & protect my skin & even before bedtime. It also smells fresh & light!

Finally, for the tiny people in your life, I recommend Bionike Defence Sun 50+ Baby Sun Lotion (R169, 125ml, Dis-Chem). I love using it on Oliver’s skin, but also for my own body. And how cute is the packaging?

Do you have any blue & orange favourites at the moment?

Yolandi ♥
