Winter is synonymous with hotter showers & baths, layers of clothes & generally an unhealthier diet. If you live around our Jozi, then you will know very well that highveld winters are particularly tough on the skin. This winter has been no exception. My facial skin has been playing up like a teenager. Dry & mostly not happy.
My body has been coping much better thanx to one specific product range: Epi-max®. I can’t actually believe that I have never used it before until about two months ago!
The lotion (with pump) & the creams are amazing, but the Epi-max® Bathe (bath and shower oil) has now literally become our favourite bath or shower product of all time! It’s a real lifesaver for Oliver’s skin because he refuses to have his body moisturised. So after a Bathe bath, his skin is less crocodile. As for me, I don’t feel like my arms or back is going to crack from dryness. It’s by no means an unfamiliar name. And if you are a mom, then chances are you have Epi-max® in your home or nappy bag at this very moment or that you use it daily.
What makes Epi-max® so awesome?
- It is an emollient (aka moisturizing) cream, so unlike an aqueous cream, it locks the moisture into your skin & prevents it from evaporating
- It contains Evening Primrose oil, Vitamin E & pure Lavender oil
- It is hypo-allergenic, perfume-free, water-soluble & contains no artificial colouring
- The range is super affordable (between R30 & R90 per product) & easy to find at Clicks, Dis-Chem, Takealot & most pharmacies
Who should be using Epi-max?
- It is suitable for anyone living with a dry skin condition or in a dry climate (eg Highveld in winter, the Cape in summer). Except for The EPI-MAX® PLUS range (blue) for extremely dry skin which is not suitable for sensitive skin or children.
- Elderly people (because the skin loses the ability to retain moisture as we get older)
- Eczema of all types
- Psoriasis
- Those whose occupations involve wet works or soaps
Epi-max® for Eczema
As I’ve said, Epi-max® is an awesome product for those affected by Atopic Eczema – which is 15-20% of schoolchildren & 2-10% of adults.
Thanks for the info, Yolandi. Must check these out next time I am in Dis-Chem or Clicks.
Hope you love them as much as I do!
