My birthday is only 5 sleeps away, so this list contains some of my favourite goodies right now. I hope you’ll also find some inspiration or ideas here for when you next have to give or receive a birthday gift. And obviously these can make great Valentine’s Day gifts too!

Pretty Ballerinas – Classy but fun. I love the sequence combined with the animal print on this one. It’s from the AW20 Collection. Contact Pretty Ballerinas (011) 325 5411.

The Philips 3200 Series fully automatic espresso machine is so uncomplicated & awesome, I can’t get over it. It has the easiest milk cleaning system on the market & can make 5 different types of coffee. Plus it works with all kinds of milk. It’s great value for money & looks pretty cool too! Available from Hirch’s, Makro, Expert, Takealot & Yuppiechef.

An Instax Mini Link Portable printer. In pink please! I’ve recently tried out this epic little gadget & I am smitten. It is small enough to pop into your handbag. All you need is a smartphone, the free App & Bluetooth. You can instantly & effortlessly print pics from your phone to the Mini Link Portable printer & the quality of the pics are surprisingly good. It also has a party mode for fun collages & other fun settings. I’m in love.

A Garlic Press. Specifically the Joseph Joseph Clean-Press Garlic Press. Every time I chop garlic I think to myself: why do I not have a garlic press & why do my hands & nails smell so … uh… garlicky?

A Coffee Travel Mug. For style. For less single-use items in the trash. For sipping your favourite beverage in style. I love the Ecoffee Cups – especially the newly launched locally designed Sarafi cup by Wanderland Collective.

Hand-made or hand-written cards. Nothing really beats a personal note of love, admiration or appreciation, right? I enjoy using Paperlesspost – they have beautiful stationery that can be delivered right into the mailbox of your friends & loved ones. Beautiful & quick.

That’s that. I’m sure I’ll think of 10 more things that I want just as I press publish. Ha!

Yolandi ♥

PS. A ‘No Thanx Gift list’. And how fun is this birthday idea?
